TLA champions limb reconstruction expertise at London conference

We're proud to announce our sponsorship of the British Limb Reconstruction Society's (BLRS) annual meeting, taking place on 19th and 20th March 2026 at The Royal Society of Medicine in London.

This two-day gathering represents a significant opportunity for us to connect with leading consultant orthopaedic surgeons, who are directly involved in limb reconstruction, complex trauma, deformity correction and advanced orthopaedic care.  This is a meeting where clinical decisions are influenced, techniques are shared, and future practice is shaped.

Fiona Morrison, TLA Director and Co-founder, says: "Supporting professional gatherings like the BLRS annual meeting is central to our ethos at TLA.

“These events bring together the most skilled specialists in their field, and we're passionate about connecting with medical experts who are advancing patient care through innovation and dedication.

“By sponsoring this meeting, we're investing in the professional development of the surgical community whilst also demonstrating our commitment to working with the highest calibre experts in even the most complex medicolegal cases."

Four TLA members will attend the event, allowing us to engage directly with the limb reconstruction community and showcase how our comprehensive management services support medical experts in their medicolegal work. Mr Simon Britten, immediate Past President of the BLRS and a full TLA member and Professor Alex Trompeter, another full TLA and BLRS member who has worked with us for many years will also attend the event.

The quality of expertise within our network is exemplified by specialists like Mr Britten, who focuses on the Ilizarov method for limb lengthening and was one of the first UK surgeons to complete a fellowship at the Ilizarov Centre in Siberia. He also serves as editor of the next edition of Medicolegal Reporting in Orthopaedic Trauma, widely regarded as the industry bible.

Professor Trompeter leads the limb reconstruction and complex trauma services for his region and is Research Chair for the BLRS.

These are the calibre of experts we work with at TLA. Leaders in their field who not only deliver exceptional clinical care but also shape national standards and advance research in their specialties.

We look forward to connecting with colleagues at the Royal Society of Medicine in March. If you're attending and would like to discuss how TLA could support and grow your medicolegal practice, please come and find us at the event or contact me directly at fiona@tla-medicolegal.com
