Founded in 2006, TLA was set up to re-engage Medical Experts with Legal Teams in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Cases.
We have sought competent and knowledgeable Medicolegal Case Managers to each manage the work of a group of Experts, giving continuity and a specialist service to both Lawyer and Expert throughout each case.
The gap between Expert and Lawyer had grown too vast during the rise of the big agencies, and in cases of serious injury and clinical negligence: the greater the communication, the smaller the gap, the better the outcome for all.
TLA has successfully grown in size, reputation and expertise, and is now an established name in the Medicolegal industry.

Director and Consultant Trauma Surgeon
Stuart Matthews is one of the co-founders of TLA Medicolegal and brings an outstanding wealth of both orthopaedic and military experience to his cases.
Stuart is a Consultant Trauma Surgeon who initially trained in General Surgery in the Army but switched to Orthopaedic Surgery, specialising in Orthopaedic Trauma.
His personal injury practice started in 1989 followed by a clinical negligence practice in 1994.
Stuart is a qualified beekeeper who also loves drystone walling and pottery. When not working, Stuart can be found chasing his naughty puppy Darcy.

Director & Founder of TLA Medicolegal
Fiona serves as a Director of two companies, she is the co-founder and director of TLA Medicolegal and 3D Health UK and is Governor at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
With more than two decades of experience in both the medical and legal sectors, Fiona has cultivated an outstanding reputation among clients in the legal profession and medical experts alike.
Her unwavering dedication to excellence, combined with her innovative approach to pushing boundaries and generating fresh ideas has firmly established Fiona as a leader in the medicolegal industry.

She is also deeply committed to the National Health Service and its mission and ability to provide exceptional care to all. Fiona has always had a passion for patient safety, Accident and Emergency services and clinical collaboration and this has driven her desire to serve as a Governor.
Outside of her business commitments Fiona enjoys spending her time with her three sons, gardening, world travel, skiing, yoga, tennis and listening to podcasts.

Case Manager, Trauma & Orthopaedics
Emily is a dedicated Trauma and Orthopaedic Case Manager who specialises in handling a wide range of serious and catastrophic Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
With her expertise, she effectively manages a team of TLA Experts within the field of Trauma and Orthopaedics, working closely with lawyers to streamline the process in complex cases.
Emily previously worked as a Case Manager for TLA before taking a year out to travel and has now rejoined the team.
Outside of work, Emily indulges in her passion for motor sport and clay pigeon shooting. She also enjoys spending time with her dog and maintaining an active lifestyle by going to the gym.

Senior Case Manager
Kelly is a Senior Case Manager for all Specialties, other than Trauma and Orthopaedics.
Kelly’s extensive experience in Administration and Clinical Trials gives her an efficient and methodical approach to all instructions. She works closely with her team and is committed to providing our Instructing Parties and Experts with the best knowledge and attention to detail where cases may involve multiple Experts and Medical disciplines. Kelly is also TLA’s qualified Mental Health First Aider.
Outside of TLA Medicolegal Kelly enjoys baking showstoppers, crafting and walking her pooch.

Alice is the Senior Case Manager & Head of the Trauma & Orthopaedics Division. Alice specialises in all aspects of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence work with a particular interest in complex injury. Alice handles all her cases with care and precision for the Instructing Party and the Expert.
Alice has a wealth of knowledge in both the Medical & Legal aspects of Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence. She leads her team with dynamic support and attention to detail ensuring a great quality of service to the legal and medical professions.
Outside of TLA Medicolegal Alice enjoys riding, travelling and gin tasting.

Case Manager
Maria is a highly skilled Case Manager who specialises in managing cases for various specialties, and she has an expertise in Neuropsychiatry, Cardiology, Cardiothoracics, GP’s, General Physicians and all other fields of medicine excluding Trauma & Orthopaedics.
With a very methodical approach, she efficiently handles all aspects of instructions and case management on behalf of the TLA Experts and our instructing Clients. She is responsible for organising medicolegal appointments, reports, joint reports, CWC’s, Court deadlines and statements, ensuring continuity for both the Experts and our Clients.
Maria joined TLA after graduating with a degree in Business Law from De Montfort University. During her time at university, she also gained valuable experience as a pharmacy technician, which has equipped her with a solid understanding of both legal and medical concepts.
This unique combination of expertise allows her to bring a comprehensive understanding of the medicolegal field to her role as Case Manager.
Outside of her work, Maria enjoys immersing herself in various artistic pursuits. She has a passion for the theatre, indulges in reading, and finds solace in painting. Additionally, she maintains an active lifestyle by regularly going to the gym.

Company Finance Manager
Sian is our Company Finance Manager who runs credit control, inhouse payroll and company accounts.
Sian is highly motivated and enthusiastic and provides a bespoke accounting service the TLA medical experts.
In her spare time Sian enjoys walking, reading and travelling.

Personal Assistant to Fiona Morrison
Jo is Personal Assistant to Fiona, Director of TLA Medicolegal.
Jo has extensive knowledge of the business sector and brings a wealth of organisation, dependability and assistance to Fiona, thereby assisting the smooth day to day running of TLA Medicolegal.
Jo enjoys the ever-changing aspects of the company as TLA Medicolegal grows and develops.
Outside of her role Jo enjoys spending time with her family and young children, going to the gym and water skiing.

Radiology & Private Patient Manager
Emily is a dedicated Radiology, Diagnostics and Private Patient Manager at 3D Health UK, a sister company to TLA Medicolegal.
In her role, she takes charge of all private patient and claimant referrals for all treatment and medical investigations for both TLA cases and direct instructions to 3D Health UK. This ensures that private patients and claimants receive the necessary diagnostics, radiology, surgery and further private treatment. Emily is known for her efficiency and ability to organise all aspects of rehabilitation, radiology, surgery, and therapeutic procedures.
Prior to joining 3D Health UK, Emily spent 11 years working for the NHS as a medical secretary to the Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford. Her extensive experience in the field of managing patients and their journey has equipped her with expertise in all radiology, diagnostic procedures, and treatments, both surgical and conservative.
Outside of her professional life, Emily cherishes spending time with two young daughters. Whenever she gets the chance, she indulges in her love for reading.

Eddie provides Security and Happiness & Wellbeing support to all staff members and has a fixed position on the interviewing panel at TLA Medicolegal.
Eddie loves biscuits and sausages and taking his owner Alice for daily walks.
