TLA backs major trauma conference in Edinburgh
TLA Medicolegal is proud to sponsor the British Trauma Society's (BTS) annual scientific meeting, taking place in November at the University of Edinburgh. The event is an important gathering for professionals dedicated to advancing trauma care and research.
Founded in 1988, the BTS is a dynamic society and registered charity committed to promoting education and research in trauma care. It brings together a membership of surgeons, doctors and medical students all focused on improving outcomes for trauma patients.
The society also supports young surgeons by sponsoring sabbaticals, allowing them to gain valuable experience in countries with limited resources, such as Malawi.
This year's conference is set to be the largest yet, featuring renowned trauma experts and will be live streamed to an international audience, connecting sister societies worldwide.
Fiona Morrison, TLA Director and Co-founder, says: "The British Trauma Society conference represents a key gathering of medical expertise and innovation, where established leaders and emerging talents meet to shape the future of trauma and orthopaedic surgery.
“In the medicolegal world trauma and orthopaedics are intrinsically linked, so at TLA we’re passionate about connecting with medical experts, bringing together the most dynamic minds in our field.”
Stuart Matthews, TLA Director and Co-founder, and former BTS President, plays a pivotal role on the Executive Committee organising the event and will be running a Medicolegal workshop conjunction with Ansar Mahmood.
TLA is the only consultancy providing medicolegal management services for medical professionals. As true advocates for medical experts, they offer two distinctive service models including ‘Full Membership,’ offering comprehensive management an expert's entire medicolegal workload as well as the ‘Associates Program’ working with experts on a flexible, case by case basis.
The service to medical experts goes beyond traditional support, managing complex administrative and financial challenges so medical experts can focus solely on their professional reporting and medical expertise.
TLA will actively participate in the conference, contributing to a pre-course day for clinicians and workshop on medico-legal issues.
