Record growth propels TLA into milestone year
A specialist provider of personal injury and clinical negligence reports is entering its most significant year yet following exceptional growth and mounting demand for expert medicolegal services.
TLA Medicolegal, based in Deddington, Oxfordshire, has experienced a remarkable surge in business over the past six months, with sales increasing by more than 50% compared to the same period last year, marking the company's best performance to date.
The surge reflects both the quality of service TLA provides and a troubling rise in clinical negligence cases across a failing health system. According to The Times, NHS compensation for A&E clinical negligence has doubled to £475 million annually, with claims rising 21% over the past decade due to missed diagnoses, inadequate monitoring, and failures linked to overcrowding and extended trolley waits.
Company Director and co-founder Fiona Morrison said: "We are seeing systemic failures across every category of patient care. Blood test results go unreported, histology samples are mislabelled, appointments are repeatedly cancelled with some patients experiencing six cancellations before being seen, and referrals fail to reach their destination. These preventable errors are causing serious patient harm and highlight the human cost of overstretched services."
In response to this surging demand for expert medicolegal services, TLA has taken on five new full member experts in recent months and welcomed instructions from numerous new solicitor firms. There has also been a notable rise in private individuals approaching TLA directly regarding clinical negligence matters, reflecting growing public awareness of their rights when medical care falls short.
The company is actively seeking to recruit more medical experts as full TLA members, offering comprehensive management of their medicolegal practices alongside dedicated administrative support. This allows experts to focus on delivering high-quality reports whilst TLA handles scheduling, correspondence, fee negotiations and ensures prompt payment.
As part of this recruitment drive, TLA will be sponsoring the British Limb Reconstruction Society's annual meeting in March at The Royal Society of Medicine in London, with four TLA members attending the two-day event which brings together leading surgeons, researchers and healthcare professionals.
Fiona said: "We're tremendously proud to be celebrating our 20th year in business and it's rewarding to see the momentum we've built. This milestone reflects the trust our experts and clients place in us, and we're committed to supporting those affected by medical negligence and personal injury whilst advocating for the safer, more dignified care everyone deserves.
"Looking ahead, 2026 will be a very exciting year for TLA Medicolegal. We look forward to welcoming more experts as full members and sharing this journey with everyone who has supported us."
The company's focus remains on delivering the highest quality reports, supporting its growing community of experts, and continuing to promote its comprehensive expert support package. TLA was established by experts, for experts, ensuring members maintain control over their practice whilst receiving proper remuneration and the professional support they deserve.
As the company builds on this record year, it remains committed to expanding its team of internationally renowned medical specialists who can provide the best advice in even the most complex medicolegal cases.
